Freedom to teach
I've said many times that I'm so glad I teach mathematics - nothing left or right about it. But in these times, that's not the point.
Academic Freedom is a real thing. Being told what we are to teach and how we are to teach it goes against the core of our being as educators. A long time ago I made the decision to devote my life to education. It is my duty to prepare the next generation to be contributing members of society. It is also my duty to protect the freedom of my fellow educators to do the same.
